FLORIS 2.5 BUG REPORT

Description

Bug Report

This is in v2.51 from nexus. I was able to pass books to new non-default companion npcs like ghanawa to read. I was unable however to offer books to the old default npcs like Alayen or Jeremus. When I tried to exchange readable books to them, no book options show up, it works perfectly for new npcs like ghanawa though.

Status

Being investigated.

I cannot see any reason for this, unless it has been updated since this posting. The book dialog options have no restrictions other than (troop_is_hero), which all companions will pass. See dialogs starting:

[anyone|plyr,"member_talk", [], "Let's talk about books.", "member_talk_about_books",[]],
[anyone, "member_talk_about_books", [], "Well, what do you want to do? ", "player_talk_about_books",[]],

Later options have intelligence checks against the book's reading difficulty. Are all the Native companions too dumb?

During my play testing this evening I had no trouble giving Jeremus a book (the +int readable one). Windyplains 10:44, April 12, 2012 (UTC)

Having a companion read books appears to work just fine. I did, however, find an interesting error with auto-loot. For some reason Jeremus tossed his book into the pool (he wasn't reading it yet), but regardless I don't think we should have auto-loot handling books as that item was very nearly sold accidentally. I disabled books from auto-looting. Windyplains 11:26, April 12, 2012 (UTC)
